How to Extend Your SignUp to the Next Month, Quarter, or Year

Add Future Dates to Your Ongoing SignUp Without Starting Over

Last Updated June 17, 2026

For year-round calendars, SignUp recommends planning 4 to 6 months ahead at a time. There are two ways to extend your schedule: quickly copying days forward, or setting up repeating schedules for each spot.

Quick Option: Copy Days Forward

This is the fastest approach. In the Spots tab, use the Copy option to duplicate entire days into the new time period in just a few clicks. Good for one-time bulk extensions.

Best Practice: Set Up Repeating Schedules

This takes more initial setup but pays off over time. Any future change you make to a repeating spot automatically applies across all its scheduled dates — no manual updates needed.

  1. Go to the Spots tab in your Organizer view and switch to List View.
  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the first spot on the first day of the week and choose Edit.
  3. In the Edit Spot screen, scroll to the scheduling section. Select which days the spot repeats on and add or extend an End Date. Save.
  4. Repeat for each unique spot. Spots that share the same schedule (like Monday/Wednesday/Friday) only need one configuration.

Note: SignUps with more than 5,000 past spots may need to archive older data before extending.
