How to Lock Your SignUp and Prevent Participant Changes

Two Ways to Stop Participants from Editing or Canceling Their Spots

Once participants have signed up, you can lock their spots so they cannot make changes or cancel. There are two methods: a scheduled lock available to Premium members, and a manual day lock available to everyone.

Scheduled Locking (Plus and Max Premium)

Plus and Max subscribers can lock an entire SignUp, schedule automatic open and close dates, or set rolling locks from the Settings tab in Organizer view. Go to your Dashboard, click the SignUp title, select Settings, then Premium Locking.

Manual Day Locking (All Plans)

Any organizer can manually lock individual days:

  1. Click your SignUp title from the Dashboard.
  2. Go to the Spots tab (Calendar or List View).
  3. Select the date you want to lock.
  4. Click the gear icon and choose Lock. To reverse it, repeat and choose Unlock.

Locks can only be set from a desktop device. When a day or SignUp is locked, participants see a message letting them know and directing them to contact the organizer. If you are locking before the event, consider sending a heads-up via the Message feature first.
